Congratulations to everyone for their fantastic efforts in our first scarecrow competition – we saw some really unique ideas from businesses, families and groups. The results will be announced at our awards ceremony in September but for those of you that missed it here are just some of the photos.
We’re having a change this year. Instead of asking youth groups to enter a wheelbarrow competition we have decided to organise a scarecrow trail. Groups, young and old, have been invited to enter and in a separate category families have made their own entries. The scarecrows will be on display this weekend – Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July between 9am and 5pm. Judges will be visiting the scarecrows during this time too.
The weather will be fine, so why not take a stroll around this weekend and let us know your favourites on our Facebook page. A full list of entries is here.
